AI marketing platform pricing: what AI marketing software costs in 2026

Published US prices, checked on each vendor's own pricing page in August 2026, plus the part most comparisons leave out: the billing model that decides how fast your bill grows. Where a vendor does not publish a number, we say so instead of guessing.

The short answer

AI marketing software costs between about $29 and $3,600 a month in published US pricing, and most small teams spend $150 to $800 a month across two or three tools. The number that matters more than the plan price is the meter: vendors bill per seat, per contact, per active profile, per email sent, by ad spend, by credits, or a flat fee with usage metered on top. That choice decides whether your bill doubles when you hire someone or when your list grows. Budget for three things the pricing page will not show you: onboarding fees, the other tools you still need, and the hours of the person operating all of it.

What AI marketing platforms actually cost

Every price below was read off the vendor's own pricing page on the date shown. Nothing here is estimated or remembered. Where a vendor renders prices in a way we could not read reliably, or quotes rather than publishes, the row says that plainly rather than printing a number we cannot stand behind. Prices move, so check before you buy.

Platform What it does Published US price Checked
HubSpot Marketing Hub All-in-one marketing, CRM and email Free $0 for 2 users. Starter $7 per seat with 1,000 marketing contacts. Professional $800 with 3 core seats and 2,000 contacts, plus a one-time $3,000 onboarding fee. Enterprise $3,600 with 5 core seats and 10,000 contacts, plus a one-time $7,000 onboarding fee. Extra seats $45 on Professional, $75 on Enterprise. Aug 2026
Copy.ai AI writing and go-to-market workflows Chat $29 with 5 seats, or $24 billed annually at $288 a year. Growth $1,000 with 75 seats and 20,000 credits. Expansion $2,000. Scale $3,000. Enterprise quoted. Aug 2026
Jasper AI writing for marketing teams Pro $69 per seat, or $59 per seat billed annually, including 1 seat and a 7-day trial. Business is quoted and carries a 12-month minimum. Aug 2026
GoHighLevel Agency CRM, funnels and phone Starter $97, Unlimited $297, Agency Pro $497. Annual billing is exactly 10 months of the monthly price on all three. Phone, SMS, email sends and premium AI are metered on top. Jul 2026
Opteo Google Ads optimization Basic $129 for 10 accounts and up to $25,000 monthly ad spend. Professional $249 for 25 accounts and $100,000. Agency $499 for 75 accounts and $250,000. Enterprise quoted. Jul 2026
AiSDR AI sales development rep $250, $900 and $2,500 by contact volume, with a 20 percent annual discount. The entry tier is month to month, the two above it need quarterly commitments. Aug 2026
Saleshandy Cold email sending at volume Starter $25 billed annually or $36 monthly. Pro $69 or $99. Scale $139 or $199. AI credits, verification and dialer credits are sold separately. Aug 2026
Klaviyo, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, Constant Contact Email and ecommerce marketing All four publish prices, but their pages would not return reliable US dollar figures to us on this check. All four bill on list size rather than usage: Klaviyo per active profile, the others per contact. Read the number on their own site before budgeting. Aug 2026

Two patterns jump out of that table. The first is the cliff: HubSpot goes from $7 a seat to $800 a month with nothing in between, and Copy.ai goes from $29 to $1,000. If your team is too big for the entry plan and too small for the next one, you pay for a tier you will not use. The second is that these products are not substitutes for each other. A writing tool and a sending platform and an ads tool are three purchases, which is how a $69 line item quietly becomes $400.

The seven ways AI marketing vendors bill you

Comparing sticker prices across these tools is close to meaningless, because they are not measuring the same thing. What actually determines your cost in year two is which meter you are attached to. Here is every model in common use, what makes the bill jump on each, and the trap to check for before you sign.

Billing model Who bills this way What makes the bill jump Check before you sign
Per seat HubSpot, Jasper, most AI writing tools Hiring. Every teammate, contractor or freelancer who needs to log in adds a full seat. What an extra seat costs on the tier you are buying. HubSpot charges $45 on Professional and $75 on Enterprise, which is more than many whole products.
Per marketing contact HubSpot, Mailchimp, Constant Contact List growth, whether or not those people ever open anything. Whether unsubscribed and bounced contacts still count toward the tier. On several platforms they do.
Per active profile Klaviyo Storing profiles you are not emailing, including cold and suppressed ones. How the vendor defines active. This is the model that surprises ecommerce teams after a big sale brings in one-time buyers.
Per email sent Brevo and other send-based senders A heavy campaign month. Cost tracks activity rather than list size. The overage rate once you pass the included sends, and whether branding removal is a paid add-on.
By ad spend tier Opteo, Optmyzr, Adalysis A good quarter. Scaling spend pushes you into the next tier automatically. What happens if you exceed the tier. Some vendors charge overage if you stay over for two consecutive months.
By credits Copy.ai, AdCreative and most AI generators Iteration. Every regeneration burns credits, and video typically costs far more than images. What one useful finished asset actually consumes, not what one generation consumes. Those are different numbers.
Flat plan plus metered usage GoHighLevel Volume on the metered lines rather than the plan itself. Which lines are metered. On GoHighLevel that is phone numbers, calls, SMS, email sends and premium AI, all billed on top of the $97 to $497 plan.

The practical test is simple. Write down what your business looks like in eighteen months: how many people will need access, how big the list will be, how much you will spend on ads. Then price the tool at those numbers rather than today's. A platform that is cheapest now and most expensive at that point is a bad buy, and the difference is routinely several hundred dollars a month.

What to budget, by the size of your team

These bands are built from the published prices in the table above rather than from survey data. They cover software only. The person operating it is a separate and usually larger cost.

Solo operator or founder doing it all

Roughly $0 to $150 a month

Free tiers cover more than people expect. HubSpot Free handles 2 users and basic CRM at $0, and one AI writing tool at $29 to $69 covers production. Add a sending platform priced on a list that is still small. The constraint at this stage is your hours, not your tooling budget, so resist buying a second tool before the first one is fully used.

Small team, two or three channels running

Roughly $150 to $800 a month

This is where most US small businesses actually sit. A sender billed on list size, a writing tool, and something for ads. The jump usually comes from the list rather than the plan: contact-based pricing climbs steadily while you are doing everything right. Watch for the moment three overlapping subscriptions cost more than one consolidated platform.

Mid-market with a real marketing function

Roughly $800 to $3,000 a month, plus setup

HubSpot Professional alone is $800 a month with 3 seats and 2,000 contacts, and the one-time $3,000 onboarding fee is mandatory rather than optional. Budget year one at roughly $12,600 for that platform before extra seats at $45 each, contact growth, or any of the creative and ads tooling sitting alongside it.

Enterprise

$3,600 a month and up, plus $7,000 setup

HubSpot Enterprise is $3,600 a month for 5 core seats and 10,000 contacts, with a one-time $7,000 onboarding fee and additional seats at $75. At this level the software is not the expensive part. Implementation, integration work and the team running it are, and most of that spend never appears on a pricing page.

For the wider picture including agencies, ads and people, our breakdown of how much AI marketing costs covers the full spend, and how much to budget for AI marketing tools works through it by team size.

The four costs that are not on the pricing page

1. Mandatory onboarding fees

HubSpot requires a one-time $3,000 onboarding fee on Professional and $7,000 on Enterprise. These are not optional professional services you can decline. On a $800 a month plan, that fee is more than three months of subscription and it lands in month one.

2. The rest of the stack

Almost no product does the whole job. A writing tool does not send email. A sending platform does not make ad creative. An ads optimizer does not write your landing page. Teams that budget for one tool routinely end up paying for three, which is the single most common reason a marketing software budget is wrong by double.

3. Annual commitments and lock-in

The advertised discount usually means paying the year up front. Copy.ai Growth is billed at $12,000 a year. Jasper Business carries a 12-month minimum. GoHighLevel annual billing is 10 months of the monthly price, which is a genuine saving, but it is still a year of commitment to a tool you have used for a week.

4. The hours of whoever runs it

This is the largest cost in almost every case and it appears on no pricing page. Software does not decide what to say, judge whether a campaign worked, or notice that the offer is wrong. If nobody has the time to operate the tool, a cheaper subscription does not fix anything, and an expensive one makes it worse.

Where AiMarketer fits on this list

Most of the products above sell you a capability and leave the operating to you. HubSpot gives you a platform to run. Jasper and Copy.ai give you a writing surface. Opteo gives you recommendations to approve. In each case the software is genuinely good and the bottleneck moves to the person driving it.

AiMarketer is built for the case where that person does not exist. It plans the campaign, writes the ads and the content, launches on your approval and reports which channels produced real leads. That is a different purchase from a per-seat tool, and it is worth being clear that it does not replace your email sending platform or your CRM.

If you are weighing software against hiring the work out entirely, AI marketing agency vs software puts the two cost structures side by side.

The honest caveat

AiMarketer is in early access, not a mature platform with a decade of case studies behind it. If you need a marketing system running under contract next month, with a support line and a signed uptime commitment, buy one of the established platforms in the table above. We would rather say that here than after you have paid us.

We are also not an email sending platform. Keep a proven sender for deliverability. Nothing on this page is designed to talk you out of a tool that is working.

The fastest way to judge the output is the live demo. It builds a real campaign for your business in about 30 seconds without an account.

Questions people ask about AI marketing platform pricing

How much does AI marketing software cost?

Published US prices in August 2026 run from about $29 a month for a single AI writing tool to $3,600 a month for HubSpot Marketing Hub Enterprise before seats and contacts are added. Most small teams land between $150 and $800 a month once they have a sender, a writing tool and something for ads. The sticker price is rarely the whole bill, because onboarding fees, per-seat charges and contact growth are billed separately.

How much does an AI marketing platform cost per month?

It depends almost entirely on how the vendor bills. Flat plans like GoHighLevel start at $97 a month. Per-seat tools like Jasper are $69 a month for one seat. HubSpot jumps from $7 per seat on Starter to $800 a month on Professional with no tier in between. Ad platforms like Opteo charge by how much you spend, starting at $129 a month for up to $25,000 of monthly ad spend.

Do AI marketing tools charge per user or per contact?

Both models are common and they fail in different ways. Per-seat pricing punishes you for adding teammates, so HubSpot charges $45 or $75 for each extra core seat above the included ones. Per-contact and per-profile pricing punishes you for list growth, and often counts people who never open your email. Check which meter you are on before you sign, because that decides how your bill grows.

Why is marketing automation software so expensive?

Because the pricing is built around a jump rather than a slope. Entry tiers are cheap to get you in, then the features most teams actually need sit behind a much higher plan. HubSpot is the clearest example: $7 per seat on Starter, then $800 a month on Professional, plus a mandatory one-time $3,000 onboarding fee. Copy.ai does the same thing, going from $29 a month straight to $1,000.

What hidden costs come with AI marketing software?

Four of them, and together they usually beat the subscription. Mandatory onboarding fees, which are $3,000 on HubSpot Professional and $7,000 on Enterprise. The rest of the stack, because a writing tool does not send email and a sender does not make creative. Annual lock-in, since several vendors bill the year up front. And operator hours, which is the largest cost and never appears on any pricing page.

How much should a small business budget for AI marketing tools?

A realistic floor is $150 to $400 a month for a small business running one or two channels properly: a sending platform billed on your list size, one AI writing tool at roughly $29 to $69 a month, and free tiers for the rest. Budget separately for the person operating it. Buying more software rarely fixes marketing that has no one running it.

Pricing a specific vendor? We keep verified numbers on HubSpot alternatives, Klaviyo alternatives, Mailchimp alternatives, ActiveCampaign alternatives and GoHighLevel alternatives. For the AI writing tools specifically, Jasper alternatives and Copy.ai alternatives cover the per-seat and credit models. If you are still shortlisting, the best AI marketing tools sorts them by the job they do.
